CMC approved adoption of the female frame cap. Like the male cap, there is one frame system (different frame for enlisted, company grade officers, and field grade officers) with interchangeable white and green cloth crowns. New caps will not be available for purchase/issue until FY09. Mandatory possession date for new cap and obsoletion date for the old caps is 1 Oct 2012. For more information see MARADMIN 504/07.
