Authority for Civilian wear of the USMC Utility Uniform with Deploying Marine Units RESCINDED

  

Per ALMAR 004/08 Civilian Personnel are Prohibited from wearing the MCCUU.

The Wear of the MCCUU is restricted to Marines and Naval personnel permanently assigned or temporarily attached to a Marine Corps Unit.
  • Deployed Civilians with Marine Corps units who will complete their tour NLT 30 June 2008 are authorized to wear the MCCUU through their deployment.
  • Deployed Civilians with Marine Corps units who will not complete their deployment by 30 June 2008 must do a one-for-one exchange (excluding Marine Corps combat boots, which may be continued to be worn/issued) via their unit supply NLT 1 March 2008. 
  • Individuals should be issued equivalent DOD Tactical Uniforms (DOD Desert Utility Uniform or Flight Suit) at the Unit's expense. 
  • The above uniforms may be ordered via the DLA website
  • Civilians scheduled to deploy (and not yet deployed) must conduct a one-for-one exchange of MCCUUs per the above.

MCO P1020.34G (Marine Corps Uniform Regulations) will be changed applicable per the above.
