Air Force may authorize Black Boots for certain industrial career fields
Air Force link is reporting that the Air Force Uniform Online Board is recommending that Airmen in certain industrial career fields, such as maintainers or civil engineers, be allowed to wear black boots with ABUs on a permanent basis. ABU sage green boots can be ruined bycertain stains that are often impossible to remove.
A decision will be made on exactly which career fields will be allowed to wear black boots with the Airman Battle Uniform and the recommendation is being staffed and the Air Force Chief of Staff is expected to make a final decision in early fall.
