Army Wounded Warrior Clothing Support Program




The Army News Service has reported that the Army has begun a program called Wounded Warrior Clothing Support Program.  The program offers uniform modifications, at no cost, to wounded Soldiers.  The service is available through AAFES.

The program officially began in May 2008 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for Soldiers who have been injured in combat.

A wounded Soldier works with his or her occupational or physical therapist, who writes a prescription for the uniform changes. The prescription (written on a Personal Clothing Request, DA Form 3078) should specify the measurements and describe what types of modifications need to be made. The Soldier then take this prescription and his or her uniform to an AAFES designated location to turn in the items for modification.
