2009 Military Clothing Allowances

2009 US Military clothing allowances took effect 1 Oct 2009. Sailors and Coast Guardsmen have significant increases over 2008 rates. The Navy saw the biggest increase ($379.39 for men and $340.65 for women) , due to the addition of uniform items associated with the new Navy Working Uniform. The Coast Guard saw an increase with the addition of a foul-weather parka to that service’s seabag. Military clothing allowances are issued annually to US Military enlisted personnel to cover uniform wear and tear and replacement.
Initial clothing allowances:

  • Army  (M) $1,346.95         (F) $1,626.40
