New USMC Running Suit Update
Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort reports that the new Marine Corps Running Suits are now available to Marines at the Air Station and throughout the Marine Corps.
Marines will be able to receive their first running suit as issued gear for free. Marine Corps Running Suits will be available for purchase after the initial issue.
Marines are reminded that he running suit is meant to complement existing PT gear, not replace it. The running suit can be worn with PT gear during PT.
While original PT can not be worn on leave and liberty, the new Marine Corps Running Suit Jacket is authorized to be worn on leave or liberty with civilian attire. The jacket must be zipped up at least halfway to the top of the zipper, according to the Marine Corps Order P1020.34G and ALMAR 019/08.
New running suits should be air-dried as the uniform will shrink if dried in a dryer.
