Navy Uniform Board Report - Navy Uniform Updates
NAVADMIN 051/09 announced the Navy Uniform Changes recommended by the 13 Nov 2008 Navy Uniform Board and approved by the CNO.
The following is an overview of Navy Uniform Changes
-Sailors assigned to National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) facilities in CONUS and Hawaii are authorized to wear the NSA/CSS Service Badge.
-The Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer (PAMO) Designation insignia design has been approved. It is authorized for wear by Aviation Maintenance Officers who have successfully completed the PAMO qualification.
-Due to an increase in Navy Service Uniform availability the NSU will be available to purchase via designated Navy Exchange Uniform centers for Naval/Capital District Washington beginning in Feb 2009 and Tidewater beginning in Apr 2009. All other Navy Service Uniform rollouts remain as planned. Any changes will be announced via NAVADMIN.
