MARINE CORPS UNIFORM BOARD NO. 211 RESULTS



MARADMIN 704/09
announced the proceedings of Marine Corps Uniform Board No. 211.

The results of the board and CMC decisions are outlined below:

-Marine Officers Sword and accessories remain required Officer uniform items.

-CMC approved the wear of certified white synthetic undershirts with Marine Corps Service and Dress Uniforms.

-CMC approved the wear of Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform garrison and field covers with flight suits. (Woodland MARPAT with green flight suit, Desert MARPAT with Tan flight suit) at the COs discretion. The green service Garrison Cover remains approved for wear with Marine Corps flight suits.

-Effective immediately Marines are prohibited from wearing Extreme Cold Weather System (ECWS Gen I and II) items as civilian attire.  Marines are also prohibited from wearing  All Purpose Environmental Clothing System (APECS), Combat Desert Jacket (CDJ) and MCCUU Covers with civilian attire.

-CMC approved an MCCUU allowance for Marine Instructors assigned to Army Ranger School, Fort Benning.  A change to the MCCUU allowance for MCIC instructors at SOI was also approved.
