Air Force Uniform Regulation Update

                      ABU (Airman Battle Uniform) 468 x 60

The Stars and Stripes is reporting that the Air Force Uniform Board has made several Air Force Uniform Regulation changes to take effect on 12 April 2010.  The changes will be added to the Air Force Instruction on Uniform Dress and Appearance.

-Airmen are no longer required to tuck their utility uniform trousers in their boots.

-Green fleece watch cap can be worn with the all-purpose environmental clothing system (APECS), rain suit, cold weather parka, sage green fleece and the PT uniform.

-Black fleece jacket is not authorized as an APECS liner effective Oct. 1.

-The A-line skirt is no longer the primary mess dress skirt; the side-slit mess dress skirt is also an option.

-Officers who wear the watch cap with the sage green fleece must immediately have all three tapes affixed.
