According to the Air Force Times the Air Force is adopting a USAF Multi-Cam camouflage pattern uniform similar to Army Multi-Cam.  The Multi-cam Uniform is designed for Airmen who deploy to Afghanistan and work outside of FOBs.  Air Force Officials announced the uniform change August 24th, 2010.

The USAF Multi-cam uniform pattern is called the Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OCP) and only Airmen who have mission's that take them outside FOBs (reconstruction team members etc.)  will wear the new Airman Battle System (ABS) - G uniform.  All other Airmen will wear the ABU uniform.

The Army is working with the Air Force to support long-term fielding, but it is currently unknown when Airmen will get the uniform and what its final design will look like.  The ABS-G will have a wicking knit combat shirt and fire resistant fabric like the ACU.

Airmen can refer to USAF Multi-Cam for more information.
