The Army announced a new dress code for Pentagon duty.  The new dress code will require Soldiers to wear the Service Uniform.

Soldiers have been wearing Army ACUs for Pentagon duty since right after 9/11 when Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld authorized Cammies to remind them the country was at war.

SgtMaj of the Army Chandler told the Army News Service that "the business part of the Army is done in the Pentagon, and as a professional, there are certain standards of attire associated with certain activities."

The new Army Pentagon Dress Code takes effect in October 2011.  Soldiers will be in Formal Uniforms unless they have specific reasons to be in ACUs.
