2012 Military Clothing Allowance Rates

DFAS just published the Military Clothing Allowance rates for 2012. (Effective 1 Oct, 2011)

The Clothing Allowance is to pay for a service man or woman's uniform and other clothing costs.  Every service member receives an initial clothing allowance upon entering service. DoD policy allows each respective service Secretary or the Commandant of the Marine Corps to determine what uniforms are issued and maintained.

The following is an overview of 2012 Clothing Allowances by service for enlisted personnel only.


Initial Military Clothing Allowance
